Real Madrid Foundation Launches “Summer Clinics” in Algeria, Bringing Butragueño and Elite Youth Development Programme to Algiers

ALGIERS — The Real Madrid Foundation has announced the launch of its new “Summer Clinics” programme in Algeria, introducing a high-level youth football development initiative designed to provide young players with direct access to the training methodology and educational philosophy employed by the Foundation across its international network.
Hosted at the ESHRA complex in Algiers, the programme is aimed at young football enthusiasts seeking to enhance their technical, tactical and personal development through an intensive training experience that combines football instruction with character-building principles rooted in discipline, teamwork, commitment and respect.
The training camp will be supervised by a Spanish coach officially appointed by the Real Madrid Foundation and designated as its sole representative in Algeria for the programme. The coach will oversee the implementation of the Foundation’s official sporting and educational curriculum, ensuring that participants benefit from a professional learning environment aligned with Real Madrid’s internationally recognised development model.
A major highlight of the initiative will be the participation of Emilio Butragueño, Real Madrid legend and Foundation ambassador, who is scheduled to attend alongside other senior figures from both the club and the Foundation. Additional personalities are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, offering participants a rare opportunity to engage directly with representatives of one of the world’s most successful football institutions.
Upon completion of the programme, all participants will receive an official certificate issued by the Real Madrid Foundation in recognition of their commitment and achievements throughout the training period.
Beyond football development, the “Summer Clinics” initiative seeks to promote the core values that underpin the Foundation’s educational mission, including respect, discipline, teamwork, solidarity, leadership and the pursuit of excellence.
Since establishing its activities in Algeria in 2025, the Real Madrid Foundation has continued to expand its youth-focused programmes, driven by the conviction that sport serves as a powerful instrument for education, social inclusion and personal development.
Commenting on the launch, Adel Tandjaoui, Chief Executive Officer of Elite MENA Sports Management, described the initiative as a unique opportunity for Algerian youth to experience the working methods and educational approach of the Real Madrid Foundation while participating in a rewarding sporting and human experience.
