Attaf Holds Series of Bilateral Meetings in Antalya Focused on Arab Coordination, Regional Stability

At the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Algeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held a series of bilateral meetings on Saturday, underscoring a sustained diplomatic engagement centred on Arab coordination and the management of regional crises across the Middle East.

In discussions with Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Expatriates, Badr Abdel Atty, both sides reviewed the trajectory of bilateral relations, with emphasis on economic cooperation and the implementation of outcomes from the ninth session of the Algeria–Egypt High Joint Commission held in November. The talks also included exchanges on regional developments, notably the situation in the Middle East and evolving dynamics in Libya, ahead of the forthcoming meeting of the trilateral mechanism involving Libya’s neighbouring states.

A separate meeting with Yemen’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaya Mohsen al-Zindani, addressed recent regional developments and their implications for Yemen. Algeria reiterated its support for Yemen’s stability and territorial integrity, while reaffirming its continued engagement in efforts aimed at advancing a political settlement to the protracted crisis.

Taken together, the engagements reflect Algeria’s steady reliance on bilateral channels to reinforce coordination with Arab partners while maintaining a consistent position on regional stability, particularly in conflict-affected environments.
