Justice Ministry Reports 8 Million Court Decisions Digitally Signed
Lotfi Boudjemaa, Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, announced on Saturday in Adrar that 8 million judgments and rulings have been signed electronically as part of the ongoing digitisation of the justice system.
He highlighted the sector’s growing adoption of digital platforms, noting that 58,000 appeal cases have been registered through the electronic system. He also stated that 8 million judgments and rulings have been digitally signed, alongside 7,000 decisions retrieved electronically by litigants and lawyers since the platform was launched.
Speaking at the opening of a regional seminar titled “From Traditional Justice to Digital Justice”, the Minister said such meetings reflect deeper structural changes in the concept of justice and the need for continuous adaptation to technological developments and their implications for judicial practice.
The seminar addressed several themes, including the conceptual framework of cybercrime, the challenges posed by artificial intelligence in its expansion, the balance between personal data protection and security requirements in combating cybercrime, and the broader intersection of cybersecurity and AI.
