RND Chief Boudina Emphasises Importance of Upcoming Legislative Elections
By Dr. Hana Saada
RND Secretary-General Mounder Boudina said the upcoming legislative elections scheduled for July 2 are “crucial for the future of the country,” calling for broad participation and an effective mobilisation to ensure their success, during a meeting in Sétif on Saturday.
Speaking to party cadres and militants at the Lawyers’ Club, he stressed the importance of selecting “young, competent and integrity-driven candidates” capable of competing in the electoral race.
He also called for greater citizen involvement in programme development and campaign organisation, while urging vigilance against what he described as attempts by some actors on social media to undermine confidence in the electoral process.
Boudina pointed to recent reforms, saying they have helped strengthen voter confidence both in the electoral system and in political actors.
On governance and anti-corruption efforts, he highlighted measures taken to separate money from politics, stating that these reforms have contributed to restoring ethical standards in political life and rebuilding trust between citizens and political actors.
He also praised reforms implemented under President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, particularly efforts to recover misappropriated funds and reopen economically recovered companies following final judicial rulings, integrating them into national economic development.
