Abdelhak Saihi: “97% of Administrative Documents Now Digitalised”
By Dr. Hana Saada
The Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Abdelhak Saihi, has underlined the role of a dedicated digital platform for young people, particularly for submitting appeals related to unemployment allowance.
In a statement to the press, the minister said the platform enables excluded applicants to file appeals online and receive near-instant responses, stressing what he described as “full transparency” in the system.
Saihi also highlighted ongoing efforts within his sector to advance digitalisation and modernise the management of subordinate institutions, aimed at improving performance, enhancing service quality and simplifying administrative procedures for citizens. He noted that several categories of users are already benefiting from these services.
In this context, he referred to digital services provided by the National Retirement Fund, including facial recognition technology allowing pensioners to validate their life certificates via mobile phone, removing the need for physical travel.
He also cited the introduction of electronic payment of social security contributions for employers, designed to streamline procedures and enable payments without visiting administrative offices.
The minister stated that the sector has reached a 97% digitalisation rate of documents previously required from citizens, describing digitisation as a key lever for economic and social development.
