Algeria’s Army Chief Opens National Colloquium on Operational Logistics

Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the Algerian People’s National Army and delegate minister to the Minister of National Defence, on Sunday chaired the opening of a national colloquium on operational logistics, the Ministry of National Defence said.
Held under the theme “The Operational Logistics Support Chain: Current State, Constraints, Challenges and Prospects,” the event brought together senior civilian and military officials, including the interior minister, a presidential adviser on security and defence, and top commanders of the armed forces and the Republican Guard, alongside experts and academics.
In his opening address, Chanegriha said the meeting aimed to establish a precise assessment of existing logistics support chains, identify key constraints, and formulate practical responses.
He stressed the decisive role of logistics in modern warfare, arguing that outcomes increasingly depend on the ability of support systems to ensure a continuous and efficient flow of resources to deployed units at the required time and level of effectiveness.
Proceedings continued with a series of presentations by military officials and specialists, focusing on operational logistics challenges and the adaptation of the army’s support system to rapid advances in military technology and weapons systems.
