Health Minister Mohamed Seddik Aït Messaoudene has honoured a group of IT engineers for their role in advancing digital transformation across the national healthcare system, the ministry said in a statement on Saturday.
The ceremony, held at the ministry’s headquarters and attended by senior officials, recognised engineers from across the country for their contribution to developing specialised digital platforms scheduled to be deployed in the near term.
According to the statement, the engineers played a central role in designing and delivering innovative digital solutions aimed at improving service quality and patient care, notably through the development of electronic health records.
In remarks at the event, Aït Messaoudene highlighted the “vital role” of IT engineers in supporting the sector’s digital transition, adding that the platforms developed reflect the innovative capacity of Algerian expertise.
