Former FAF President M’hamed Mekireche Dies at 93

Algerian football is in mourning following the death of M’hamed Mekireche, former head of the Algerian Football Federation, who passed away on Friday at the age of 93.
The federation confirmed the news in an official statement published on its website, marking the loss of a longstanding figure in the national game.
Mekireche’s career was closely tied to MC Alger, where he played as a goalkeeper, before going on to serve Algerian football in leadership roles.
On behalf of the federal bureau, FAF president Walid Sadi extended his condolences to the family of the deceased, paying tribute to his contribution to the sport.
