Algeria’s AAPI, Chad’s ANIE Sign Investment Promotion Agreement to Deepen Economic Ties
BY Dr. Hana Saada
Algeria’s Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) and Chad’s National Agency for Investment and Exports (ANIE) have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen bilateral investment cooperation and improve the business environment in both countries.
The agreement was signed in Algiers by AAPI director-general Omar Rekkache and ANIE director-general Sobdibet Sobkika Liliane, on the sidelines of the fourth session of the Algeria–Chad Joint Government Commission.
The memorandum establishes an operational framework to promote, facilitate and support investment flows, including the exchange of economic, legal and regulatory information. It also provides for closer cooperation on best practices in investment promotion and monitoring.
Both sides agreed to organise joint economic forums, business missions and B2B meetings, while facilitating links between investors, companies and professional organisations. The deal also provides for coordinated communication efforts to enhance the visibility of investment opportunities and highlight high-potential strategic sectors in both markets.
The agreement reflects a shared intent to deepen economic cooperation and build a more transparent, competitive and attractive investment climate to support bilateral growth.
