ALGIERS, Algeria — Algeria’s Director General of Customs, Major General Abdelhafid Bakhouche, has embarked on a working visit to the Libyan capital, Tripoli, accompanied by a delegation of senior customs officials, as part of efforts to reinforce customs cooperation and coordination between Algeria and Libya.

According to a statement issued Tuesday by the Algerian Customs Directorate General, the Algerian delegation was received upon its arrival on Monday by the Director General of the Libyan Customs Authority, alongside senior officials and executives of the institution.

The visit reflects the shared commitment of Algeria and Libya to deepen cooperation between the Algerian Customs Directorate General and the Libyan Customs Authority while enhancing institutional coordination in areas of mutual interest.

Discussions are expected to focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation through the exchange of expertise, technical know-how, and best practices aimed at improving customs operations and supporting the modernization of customs administration in both countries.
