Tosyali Algeria has successfully produced its first cold-rolled steel coil following the commissioning of its Pickling and Tandem Cold Mill (PLTCM), marking the launch of production at its Cold Rolling Complex and strengthening Algeria’s position in high-value steel manufacturing.

ALGIERS, Algeria — Tosyali Algeria has achieved a major industrial milestone with the successful production of its first Pickled and Oiled (PO) cold-rolled steel coil, marking the official launch of production at the company’s new Cold Rolling Complex.
The first product was manufactured on the Pickling and Tandem Cold Mill (PLTCM) production line, representing a strategic step in Tosyali Algeria’s industrial expansion and its efforts to diversify the country’s steel production toward higher value-added products.
The company described the achievement as a landmark in its production journey, reflecting continued progress toward industrial excellence and advanced manufacturing capabilities.
Designed to meet international quality standards, the new cold-rolled steel products are intended to supply a broad range of strategic industries, including the automotive sector, household appliance manufacturing, construction, energy, and advanced manufacturing industries.
According to the company, the launch of cold-rolled steel production significantly expands Tosyali Algeria’s product portfolio while enhancing its ability to meet the growing needs of domestic manufacturers and regional markets.
The milestone also reinforces the company’s broader strategy of supporting Algeria’s industrial transformation through local value creation, technological advancement, and increased integration of downstream manufacturing activities.
Tosyali Algeria said the project strengthens the country’s industrial base by expanding the production of high-quality flat steel products that can serve both domestic demand and export markets.
