Algérie Télécom expands Programme 7-77 with in-person digital training sessions in Sétif, Annaba and Saïda
Free face-to-face sessions to provide 600 participants with essential skills in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and digital technologies

ALGIERS – Algérie Télécom is continuing its commitment to the “7-77 Digital Inclusion and Empowerment Programme”, launched by the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, with the rollout of its first free in-person introductory sessions at its SkillsCenters across the country.
The first face-to-face sessions began on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Algérie Télécom’s SkillsCenter in Sétif, marking a new phase in the deployment of the national programme aimed at expanding access to digital knowledge and strengthening digital empowerment among citizens of all ages.
Following Sétif, Algérie Télécom will progressively extend the programme to its two other SkillsCenters. In-person introductory sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, August 11 in Annaba and Sunday, August 16 in Saïda.
A total of 600 participants are expected to benefit from these sessions, which are led by nationally and internationally recognised experts and specialists.
Artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and digital skills
The training programme covers a range of essential digital topics, including an introduction to artificial intelligence and its main applications, cybersecurity and good digital practices, personal-data protection, as well as the discovery of modern digital tools and skills.
The sessions are designed to help the general public — including children, young people and older participants — acquire essential knowledge, develop safer digital habits and better understand the opportunities offered by emerging technologies.
The programme also places particular emphasis on raising awareness of the precautions required to protect users against the risks associated with increasingly widespread digital technologies.
Strong public interest since the programme’s launch
Since its launch in July 2026, the 7-77 Programme has attracted significant public interest. Its registration platform has recorded more than 150,000 registrations from all wilayas of Algeria and across all age groups.
The face-to-face format provides participants with opportunities for direct interaction with trainers, practical application of newly acquired knowledge and exchanges with other participants.
Alongside the in-person sessions, the programme has also been deployed online to make its educational content accessible to participants across the country. To date, 40 online sessions have involved 1,166 participants.
Through its support for the 7-77 Programme, Algérie Télécom is reaffirming its commitment to democratising access to modern technologies and expanding digital knowledge among the general public.
