Attaf Holds Bilateral Talks on the Sidelines of Antalya Diplomacy Forum

Algeria’s Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held a series of bilateral discussions with foreign ministers from Arab, African and friendly states, as well as senior officials of international organisations, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye.

The forum opened on Friday under the auspices of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and is organised by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the theme “Managing Uncertainty in a Changing World Order”, bringing together senior officials from across the international system.

Turkish presidential communications, as reported by Anadolu and cited in Algerian media, indicate that the event is expected to gather more than 500 participants from over 150 countries, including heads of state and government, foreign ministers and representatives of international organisations, consolidating its position as a major platform for diplomatic exchange.

The same sources also point to a series of anticipated multilateral meetings on the margins of the forum, including a four-way session bringing together the foreign ministers of Türkiye, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt to examine regional developments, particularly the war against Iran and their potential spillover effects on the Gulf region and the Strait of Hormuz.

Held annually in Antalya, the forum has in recent years established itself as a recurring venue for geopolitical dialogue, providing a structured setting for exchanges on global governance, shifting power configurations and emerging international uncertainties.
