Baddari Launches Preparations for 2026–2027 University Year in Algeria

ALGIERS — Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Kamel Baddari has chaired an orientation meeting dedicated to preparations for the 2026–2027 university academic year, according to a ministry statement.
The meeting, held Wednesday evening, brought together senior central administration officials, presidents of regional university conferences, and heads of national pedagogical committees across various academic fields.
According to the ministry, discussions focused on the main academic and organisational updates planned for the upcoming academic year, including the introduction of new modules into university curricula such as “History of Algeria,” “Nationalism and Citizenship,” and “Agile Start-ups.”
The preparations also include a national programme for the rehabilitation of university residences, with university heads instructed to directly oversee implementation at the local level, the statement added.
