Niger’s Supreme Audit Institution Head Visits Algeria to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

ALGIERS — The President of the Court of Accounts of Niger, Laminou Tchiroma Saadé, is undertaking an official visit to Algeria from June 18 to 22, at the invitation of her Algerian counterpart, according to a statement issued Thursday by the Court of Accounts.
The visit is aimed at reinforcing institutional cooperation between the two supreme audit institutions and exploring avenues for enhanced coordination in the fields of public finance oversight, audit practices and the exchange of expertise.
During the visit, both sides are expected to hold discussions on opportunities for joint action and knowledge-sharing, particularly in relation to the audit and control of public finances, the statement added.
The programme is also expected to culminate in the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two institutions. The agreement was prepared during the second session of the Algerian–Nigerien Joint Great Commission held in Niamey from March 22 to 24, 2026.
The initiative reflects broader efforts to deepen institutional cooperation and strengthen technical exchanges between Algeria and Niger in areas of governance and financial oversight.
