CR Belouizdad: Madar dissolves board and signals sweeping overhaul of club management

Algiers, May 3 – The majority shareholder of CR Belouizdad, Madar Holding, has dissolved the club’s board of directors and dismissed president Badreddine Bahloul, initiating a rapid leadership reshuffle at one of Algeria’s most decorated football clubs.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the state-linked conglomerate announced the immediate installation of a new board chaired by Amar Mohamed, alongside the appointment of Djaber Naâmoun as sporting director, granting him expanded authority over squad management and technical restructuring.
The decision marks a decisive managerial break following a disappointing domestic campaign that left the reigning standards-driven club trailing expectations set during its recent period of dominance in Algerian football.
The newly formed board includes Amar Mohamed, Haddouche Hocine, Bensalem Abdelkrim, Boukerroucha Boualem, and Taghout Yazid. It convened immediately after its appointment and confirmed Amar Mohamed as chairman, underscoring what Madar described as a need to avoid any governance vacuum during the transition phase.
The most strategically significant appointment is that of Naâmoun, who is expected to lead the club’s sporting reconstruction, with full responsibility over transfers, squad composition, and coaching decisions. The move signals a centralisation of sporting authority ahead of a pivotal summer transfer window.
Madar Holding said it intends to implement “radical changes and broad reforms” aimed at restoring the team to competitive prominence domestically and continentally, reaffirming ambitions to return the club to the podium and enhance its national sporting standing.
