Egyptian ambassador to Algeria: CR Belouizdad–Zamalek match footage reflects warmth between the two peoples
Abdellatif Ellayeh, the Egyptian ambassador to Algeria, has said that widely shared footage from the football match between CR Belouizdad and Zamalek SC reflects what he described as a spirit of warmth and mutual affection between Algerians and Egyptians.
In exclusive remarks to Dzair Tube, Mr Ellayeh said the scenes circulating online following the game were “uplifting” and indicative of strong popular ties between the two countries.
He added that such expressions of goodwill were a natural reflection of the “friendly and evolving” relationship between the two societies, both at the popular level and in official relations.
The ambassador said the displays of camaraderie were consistent with a broader trajectory of strengthening ties between Egypt and Algeria, rooted in decades of historical relations and continuing cooperation across multiple fields.
