Emirates airline celebrates ten years of activity in Algeria

ALGIERS– The airline Emirates, celebrates its tenth anniversary of activity in Algeria. The company launched its daily operations to Algiers in March 2013, on board an Airbus A330. Since the inaugural flight, the company has transported more than 1.1 million passengers between Dubai and Algiers.

Over the past decade, the world’s largest airline has operated nearly 4,753 return flights, totaling 24.1 million kilometer-miles between Algiers and Dubai. Algeria is an important market for Emirates in Africa and the airline is committed to supporting the recovery and growth of its tourism and trade industry. The airline plays an important role in boosting trade and increasing business opportunities by providing travelers and traders with essential connectivity between Algiers and important commercial hubs in the Middle East, South and Southeast Asia via Dubai.

The Emirates Group employs more than 250 Algerian nationals, including cabin crew, pilots and employees in other areas of the group’s business. To mark the event, the airline is offering a 10% discount on economy class and business class fares across its entire network. The offer is valid for bookings made until March 15, 2023, for travel until September 30, 2023.

Emirates SkyCargo offers a weekly cargo capacity of 280 tonnes to and from Algiers on its seven weekly passenger flights.

Since 2013, Emirates SkyCargo has transported around 43 million tonnes to and from Algiers, including perishables, dates, fruits and vegetables, while pharmaceuticals and spare parts, electronic devices remain the common goods in the import.

Emirates flight EK757 from Dubai to Algiers departs at 08:45 and arrives in Algiers at 12:55 local time. The return flight EK758 from Algiers departs at 3:45 p.m. and arrives in Dubai at 1:05 a.m. the next day.
