Integrating Algerian Spare Parts into the International Distribution Network of Fiat
BY Dr. Hana Saada
ALGIERS — The Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, received on Sunday the CEO of Fiat Algeria, Raoui Beji, to discuss ways and mechanisms for integrating locally manufactured spare parts into the Italian brand’s international distribution network.
According to a ministry statement, the meeting focused on examining avenues for incorporating Algerian-made components into Fiat’s global supply and distribution system.
Held at the ministry’s headquarters, the discussions took place within the framework of monitoring the state and development prospects of Algeria’s automotive industry, as well as reinforcing the contribution of national companies operating in this strategic sector.
The talks also addressed prospects for supporting Algerian spare parts producers whose products have obtained homologation and compliance certification from the Stellantis Group. This support would facilitate the integration of locally manufactured components into Fiat’s global distribution network, particularly within after-sales services.
The initiative aims to boost exports of Algerian manufacturers and enable them to access wider international markets, thereby strengthening their competitiveness and positioning within global automotive supply chains.
