UAE, Palestine, Military Bases and US Relations: President Tebboune Reaffirms Algeria’s Positions on Key International Issues

During a periodic media interview with national press representatives, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune said the United Arab Emirates’ withdrawal from OPEC and OPEC+ was a “non-event,” stressing that Saudi Arabia remains the core pillar of the organisation.
He said relations with the United States continue to develop with each high-level visit, describing the trajectory as steadily evolving.
On the Palestinian issue, Tebboune reiterated that a settlement is only possible through the establishment of a state along the 1967 borders.
He also said Algeria does not accept foreign military bases on its territory, adding that it maintains a consistent diplomatic presence at the United Nations Security Council.
