Tebboune Meets Tosyali, Tayal Executives In Ankara As Algeria Pushes Industrial Partnership Drive

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune met Thursday in Ankara with executives of Algerian-Turkish steel giant Tosyali and textile producer Tayal during his official visit to Turkey, as Algiers moves to deepen strategic industrial partnerships with Ankara.
The meetings were held on the sidelines of the inaugural Algerian-Turkish High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council co-chaired by Tebboune and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Tosyali, which operates one of Algeria’s largest integrated steel complexes in Oran, has emerged as a cornerstone of Turkish industrial investment in Algeria, while Tayal has become a flagship joint venture in textile and garment manufacturing tied to the country’s broader import-substitution and export-diversification strategy.
The discussions reflect Algeria’s accelerating push to expand domestic manufacturing, reinforce industrial integration and anchor long-term production-focused partnerships across key strategic sectors.
