Zerrouki Inspects Algérie Télécom Call Centre, Orders Service Quality Upgrade

Algeria’s Minister of Post and Telecommunications Sid Ali Zerrouki visited Algérie Télécom’s call centre Thursday to assess customer support performance and review ongoing service improvements, according to a ministry statement.
Accompanied by the company’s CEO, Zerrouki called for higher service quality standards and instructed a reduction in telephone assistance waiting times from four minutes to a maximum of one minute, aimed at improving user experience and strengthening customer confidence.
The visit is part of a national rollout plan for call centre infrastructure, including the recent launch of a shared call centre in Ouargla, which authorities say has contributed to job creation.
The ministry said similar projects are planned across several interior regions to expand employment opportunities and develop Algeria’s call centre sector.
The strategy also seeks to position Algeria within regional and international outsourcing markets, with the aim of generating foreign currency revenues while expanding domestic digital service jobs.
