Recognising Quranic achievement
The ceremony included awards for the students who distinguished themselves in Quranic recitation and memorisation.
The first prize was awarded to Abdelkrim Yahia Omar, while the second went to Smail Brahim, aged 16, in recognition of their efforts in learning and memorising the Holy Quran.
The foundation’s disciples also presented the General Khalifa with a handwritten copy of the Holy Quran as a gesture of appreciation and esteem.
The ceremony highlighted the role of Quranic institutions in teaching and preserving the Holy Quran among younger generations, while encouraging students to pursue further religious learning and scholarship.
A wider Tijaniyya gathering in Kano
Sheikh Sidi-Ali Belarabi’s presence in Kano comes as part of his participation in commemorations marking the anniversary of the birth of Sheikh Sidi Ahmed Tidjani, founder of the Tijaniyya Tariqa.
