African Parliament President Congratulates Khalida Boufedeche, Commends Algeria’s Continental Leadership
The President of the Pan-African Parliament paid a courtesy visit to Algeria’s newly elected People’s National Assembly Speaker, reaffirming Algeria’s prominent role in African parliamentary institutions and its contribution to advancing continental cooperation.

ALGIERS — The President of the Pan-African Parliament, Fateh Boutbig, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to Khalida Boufedeche, Speaker of Algeria’s People’s National Assembly (APN), at the parliament’s headquarters in Algiers to congratulate her on her election to lead the lower house.
During the meeting, Boutbig extended his congratulations to Boufedeche, wishing her success in her new responsibilities. He also praised Algeria’s standing within African parliamentary institutions and its sustained contribution to promoting and strengthening joint African parliamentary action.
For her part, Boufedeche expressed her appreciation for the visit, reaffirming Algeria’s commitment to deepening its African engagement through enhanced continental parliamentary cooperation.
She said Algeria remains committed to advancing parliamentary coordination across Africa in a manner that supports the aspirations of African peoples for development, regional integration and lasting stability.
