Air Algérie Launches First Direct Service to Manchester

ALGIERS — Algeria’s national carrier, Air Algérie, inaugurated its first direct flights to the northern English city of Manchester on Sunday, marking a further expansion of its international network and strengthening air connectivity between Algeria and the United Kingdom.
In a statement published on its official social media channels, the airline announced that operations on the new route commenced on Sunday, describing the service as part of its broader strategy to diversify destinations and enhance travel options for passengers.
The launch of the Manchester service represents Air Algérie’s latest move to expand its presence in the British market, responding to growing demand from business travellers, members of the Algerian diaspora and tourists seeking direct connections between the two countries.
According to the airline, the new route is intended to provide customers with greater flexibility and improved travel comfort when flying to the United Kingdom.
Air Algérie encouraged passengers wishing to travel to Manchester to book tickets through its official website and mobile application.
