Algerian Business Delegation Meets US Assistant Secretary of State at “Select USA” Summit

An Algerian business delegation participating in the “Select USA” investment summit held talks in Washington on the third day of the event, led by Kamel Moula, head of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA).
According to a CREA statement, the delegation met US Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Landau, who expressed satisfaction with Algeria’s participation at the summit. The meeting was also attended by Algerian Ambassador to Washington Sabri Boukadoum, CREA president Kamel Moula, executive office members, and Mark Shapiro, chargé d’affaires at the US Embassy in Algiers.
Landau referred to his recent visit to Algeria, during which he was received by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and said he was interested in expanding Algerian–US cooperation.
Talks focused on sectors identified by the Algerian side as offering high economic and technological potential for US investors, including energy, agriculture, pharmaceutical inputs, advanced technologies and mining, under Algeria’s new mining framework.
The Algerian side called for broader US investment diversification and participation in major infrastructure and industrial projects under way in Algeria.
Separately, on the sidelines of the plenary session, the delegation met Oklahoma Governor John Kevin Stitt to discuss the state’s economic profile, Algeria’s investment environment and potential partnerships between Algerian and Oklahoma-based companies, in the presence of senior state officials.
