Algerian Business Delegation Meets US Officials Ahead of SelectUSA 2026 Summit

An Algerian business delegation, led by the president of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council CREA, Kamel Moula, was received on Sunday at the Gaylord Resort Convention Center by US chargé d’affaires in Algeria Mark Shapiro, on the eve of the official opening of the 2026 SelectUSA Investment Summit.
The meeting aimed to present the summit’s framework and outline ways for Algerian companies to maximise opportunities for engagement and investment partnerships.
Mr Shapiro welcomed the delegation, expressing satisfaction at Algeria’s participation and noting its significant presence among international attendees. He also commended CREA’s mobilisation efforts in assembling a broad representation of Algerian firms, while stressing the importance of understanding US corporate practices and operational approaches.
For his part, Mr Moula thanked the US embassy team in Algiers, including Mr Shapiro, for their support throughout the preparatory process. He urged participating companies to fully leverage their presence at the summit to build partnerships and exchange expertise on entrepreneurship and best business practices.
The meeting concluded with presentations from Algerian firms outlining their profiles and objectives for participation in the SelectUSA Investment Summit.
