CREA’s Kamel Moula Leads Algerian Delegation at SelectUSA Summit, Holds High-Level Meetings to Expand US Investment Links
The 2026 SelectUSA Investment Summit opened on 4 May at the Gaylord Resort Convention Center in Maryland, bringing together senior US officials, including the Secretary of Commerce, and about 5,000 participants from nearly 100 countries.
Algeria was represented by a business delegation led by Kamel Moula, head of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council CREA, alongside Algerian Ambassador to Washington Sabri Boukadoum and US chargé d’affaires in Algiers Mark Shapiro.
The delegation was received by SelectUSA Executive Director Kelly Kolderon, who welcomed Algeria’s strong presence and reaffirmed the importance of using the summit to advance joint projects with US companies.
It also held talks with Delaware Governor Matt Meyer on deepening links between companies in Delaware and Algerian firms, with a view to developing concrete investment partnerships.
CREA highlighted the effective diplomatic and logistical support from Algeria’s ambassador in Washington and the US embassy in Algiers in facilitating access to high-level US counterparts.
The delegation is expected to take part in the summit’s proceedings, as Algeria seeks to raise its profile among US investors and convert visibility into structured economic engagement.
