Algerian Red Crescent Launches Nationwide Campaign to Support Students from Needy Families
The Algerian Red Crescent has launched a nationwide solidarity campaign ahead of the new school year, preparing more than 100,000 fully equipped schoolbags, 60,000 school smocks and clothing for children from disadvantaged families, with priority given to orphans.

ALGIERS — The Algerian Red Crescent has launched a nationwide solidarity campaign to support students from low-income families ahead of the new school year, extending assistance across Algeria’s provinces.
As part of the first phase of the initiative, the organization has prepared more than 100,000 fully equipped schoolbags containing a range of essential school supplies, in addition to 60,000 school smocks and a substantial quantity of clothing.
The aid will be distributed to eligible students in coordination with local authorities, with priority given to orphans and children from families in need, according to the Algerian Red Crescent.
The organization said the coordination with local authorities is intended to ensure an orderly distribution process and ensure that assistance reaches the children most in need.
