Sonelgaz Reviews Q2 2026 Results as Adjal Calls for Stronger Execution and Performance Monitoring
Energy Minister Mourad Adjal chaired a sectoral coordination meeting in Algiers to review Sonelgaz’s second-quarter 2026 results, with a focus on performance indicators, implementation efficiency, inter-agency coordination and the early identification of operational gaps.

ALGIERS — Energy Minister Mourad Adjal chaired Sunday a meeting of the Sectoral Coordination Committee in Algiers dedicated to reviewing Sonelgaz Group’s results for the second quarter of 2026, as part of the ministry’s regular monitoring of sector activity and assessment of performance and implementation indicators.
The meeting examined a number of files related to the sector, with particular attention given to the indicators and data reflecting Sonelgaz’s performance during the second quarter, according to a statement from the Ministry of Energy and Renewable Energies.
Continuous assessment of performance
Detailed presentations were delivered on the various indicators recorded during the period, in the presence of senior central officials from the sector and key Sonelgaz executives.
Adjal issued a series of instructions and guidelines aimed at strengthening the efficiency of programme implementation, improving coordination among the various stakeholders and intensifying efforts to meet the sector’s established objectives.
He also called for closer and more systematic monitoring of performance and implementation indicators, underscoring the importance of maintaining regular oversight of progress and results.
The minister stressed the need to continue working on the basis of continuous performance assessment and anticipatory action to address shortcomings, with the objective of improving overall performance and strengthening management efficiency in line with the sector’s strategic orientations.
