Algeria’s Interior Minister Honoured During African Anti-Corruption Day Event
Saïd Sayoud receives recognition under the “Integrity” initiative as authorities highlight efforts to strengthen transparency, compliance and good governance across the public sector.

Algeria’s Minister of Interior, Local Assemblies and Transport Saïd Sayoud, took part on Saturday in a study day marking African Anti-Corruption Day, held under the patronage of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The event was organised by the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Fight against Corruption, in coordination with the Algerian Economic Renewal Council and the National Union of Public Contractors, at the International Conference Centre “Abdelatif Rahal” in Algiers.
Held under the theme “Integrity Index: From Assessing Anti-Corruption Efforts in the Public Administrative Sector to Establishing Compliance Rules in the Economic Sector,” the meeting brought together government officials, representatives of national institutions, economic stakeholders and experts.
Recognition of Institutional Integrity Efforts
On the sidelines of the event, President of the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Fight against Corruption Salima Mesrati honoured Minister Saïd Sayoud as part of the “Integrity” initiative, recognising the efforts of the Interior sector in promoting transparency, integrity and good governance.
The recognition highlighted initiatives and practices implemented by institutions under the ministry, particularly the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) and the General Directorate of Civil Protection, in strengthening compliance mechanisms and preventing corruption.
