Judges’ Sports Club Secretary-General Says Successful Final Strengthens Plans to Expand Sporting Activities

Secretary-General Kadi Bouaziz says the second edition of the Judges’ Cup has provided momentum for the club to broaden its programme beyond football and introduce additional competitions for both men and women.

The Secretary-General of the National Judges’ Sports Club, Kadi Bouaziz, has welcomed the success of the second edition of the Judges’ Cup, describing the final as a milestone that will support the club’s plans to expand its sporting activities in the coming years.

Speaking after the tournament’s conclusion, Bouaziz said the final met expectations both in terms of sporting quality and organisation.

“Thankfully, the final was a great success, particularly from a sporting perspective,” he said. “The two finalists, the M’Sila Court of Appeal and the Tipaza Court of Appeal, delivered an excellent performance that raised the overall standard of the competition and ensured a final worthy of the tournament.”

Bouaziz said the event reflected the progress made by the club since its establishment and expressed hope that it would serve as a foundation for further development.

“The principal objective behind establishing the National Judges’ Sports Club is to bring together judges, athletes and sports media within a common framework that strengthens communication while promoting the values of collegiality and cooperation,” he added.

Beyond Football

According to Bouaziz, football represented only the first stage of the club’s long-term sporting strategy.

“The club began with football competitions, but we aspire to expand our activities to include other sports that will be launched in the future for both men and women,” he said.

He added that the initiative forms part of a broader strategy aimed at developing the National Judges’ Sports Club, encouraging wider participation and embedding a stronger sporting culture within Algeria’s judicial community.

Bouaziz’s remarks reinforce the direction outlined by the club’s leadership following the successful conclusion of the 2026 Judges’ Cup, which saw the Tipaza Court of Appeal defeat the M’Sila Court of Appeal 2-1 in the final. Club President Mohamed Nadjib Meratla has announced plans to introduce new competitions, including a possible Judges’ Super Cup, while spokesperson Fouad Keroum said the club intends to expand into additional sports, including handball and volleyball, with a particular focus on increasing women’s participation
