Chinese Embassy in Algeria Marks 99th Anniversary of the People’s Liberation Army
The Chinese Embassy in Algiers hosted a reception to commemorate the 99th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army, bringing together senior Algerian officials, diplomats, military representatives and members of the Chinese community.

ALGIERS — The Chinese Embassy in Algeria hosted a reception on Thursday to mark the 99th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), gathering senior Algerian officials, members of the diplomatic corps and representatives of the Chinese community.
The event was attended by approximately 300 guests, including Chinese Ambassador to Algeria Dong Guangli, Chinese Defence Attaché Liu Guozheng, representatives of Algeria’s military and government institutions, ambassadors and defence attachés accredited to Algeria, as well as representatives of Chinese companies operating in the country and members of the Chinese expatriate community.
The reception highlighted the longstanding ties between Algeria and China and provided an opportunity for diplomatic and military representatives to exchange views in a ceremonial setting commemorating the anniversary of the founding of the PLA.
The gathering also reflected the continued engagement between the two countries across diplomatic, economic and defence-related fields, amid broader efforts to strengthen their comprehensive strategic partnership.
