Cruise ship Corinthien docks at Algiers port with 94 tourists
BY Dr. Hana Saada
The cruise ship Corinthien docked on Tuesday morning at Algiers port with 94 tourists of multiple nationalities on board, as part of growing maritime tourism traffic in Algerian ports.
Algiers Port Company said the vessel was received under well-organised conditions, with port services activated to handle standard cruise arrival procedures and facilitate passenger disembarkation.
Tourists visited key historical and cultural sites in the capital, including the Casbah of Algiers and other heritage landmarks, and explored elements of Algeria’s cultural heritage.
The visit comes amid efforts to expand cruise tourism activity in Algeria and strengthen the positioning of national ports as regional cruise destinations, supporting tourism and related economic activity.
