Prime Minister Oversees Installation of Board of Directors of Algerian Investment Promotion Agency

ALGIERS — Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb supervised the installation of the Board of Directors of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency on Saturday, according to an official statement.
In a speech delivered on the occasion, the Prime Minister stated that the installation of the agency’s governing board forms part of the continued implementation of reforms initiated by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune in the field of investment promotion and business climate improvement, aimed at enhancing the attractiveness of the national economy and increasing its capacity to attract productive investment and job creation.
He stressed that the Board of Directors is expected to play a central role in strengthening the agency’s performance by ensuring coordination among stakeholders, prioritising investment projects, and improving the effectiveness of public policies related to investment promotion.
The Prime Minister also underlined that, despite the breadth of responsibilities and institutional obligations borne by the members, he remains confident in their ability to fulfil their mission in line with the trust placed in them by the President of the Republic, contributing to the strengthening of the agency’s performance and its role in supporting the national economy.
He further noted that the coordination of efforts among all stakeholders would enable the achievement of the target of 20,000 investment projects by the end of 2029, a goal set by the President, which he described as reflecting a broader national ambition to drive economic transformation, sustainable development, and job creation.
