The CEO of Sonatrach, Noureddine Daoudi, took part in the Istanbul Natural Resources Summit (INRES 2026), the Algerian energy group said in a statement on Sunday.

The company said its participation reflects its continued presence in major international events, particularly those related to global energy and investment discussions.

The summit, held on 22 May in Istanbul and opened by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, focuses on energy security, investment strategies and international cooperation in the hydrocarbons and mining sectors.

It brings together ministers, investors and global experts to discuss challenges linked to energy security and resource management in a changing global environment.

Daoudi participated in a panel discussion titled “Navigating Uncertainty: Investment Strategies in Hydrocarbons and Mineral Resources,” where he was among the key speakers.

Sonatrach stated that its presence at the summit highlights the group’s role in the international energy landscape, while also reflecting strong cooperation between Sonatrach and Turkish companies, as well as broader Algeria–Turkey relations.
