Tebboune Congratulates Algeria’s Women’s Team on Historic 2027 World Cup Qualification
President Abdelmadjid Tebboune hailed Algeria’s women’s national football team after securing a historic place at the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, while also praising the technical staff and officials behind the achievement.

ALGIERS — President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has congratulated Algeria’s women’s national football team on securing a historic qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, in a landmark achievement for Algerian women’s football.
In a message published on his official account, Tebboune praised the players for their performance, which also secured their participation in upcoming Africa Cup of Nations competitions.
“Congratulations to the national women’s football team on their historic achievement in qualifying for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil, which also qualifies them for the Africa Cup competitions,” Tebboune said, extending his congratulations to both the players and Algeria on what he described as a major sporting achievement.
The president also commended the team’s technical staff, coaches and officials whose work contributed to securing the qualification.
Tebboune concluded his message by wishing the team continued success in the next stage of its campaign.
