Algeria, China Discuss Expanding Economic and Trade Cooperation
Talks between Algeria’s trade minister and a delegation from China’s Henan Province focused on strengthening commercial partnerships, expanding business exchanges and identifying new areas for bilateral cooperation.

ALGIERS — Algeria and China on Monday discussed ways to deepen economic and commercial cooperation during talks between Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, and an official delegation from China’s Henan Province led by Vice Governor Zhang Min.
The meeting, held at the ministry’s headquarters, focused on the current state and future prospects of economic relations between Algeria and China, with particular attention given to cooperation with Henan Province, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion.
Discussions centred on strengthening commercial partnerships and encouraging economic operators from both countries to establish mutually beneficial business ventures aimed at diversifying and expanding bilateral trade.
Both sides stressed the importance of increasing exchanges between the Algerian and Henan business communities while exploring new opportunities for cooperation in sectors of shared interest.
According to the ministry, the discussions reflected the two countries’ shared commitment to broadening economic engagement and reinforcing Algeria-China trade relations in support of their mutual economic interests.
