Algeria’s Civil Protection Chief Visits Fire-Affected Areas in Béni Maouche to Oversee Response Operations
Colonel Boualem Bourelaf reviews firefighting efforts, assesses field operations and reinforces coordination between emergency response teams to contain forest fire outbreaks.

ALGIERS — The Director General of Algeria’s Civil Protection, Colonel Boualem Bourelaf, carried out an inspection visit to the areas affected by forest fires in the commune of Béni Maouche, as part of efforts to monitor ongoing firefighting operations.
The field visit focused on assessing the progress of firefighting efforts, reviewing the interventions carried out by emergency response teams and evaluating operational conditions on the ground.
During the visit, the head of the Civil Protection service followed the deployment of firefighting units and examined the measures taken to contain the fire outbreaks and limit their impact on affected areas.
The visit also aimed to strengthen coordination between the various stakeholders involved in the response operation and ensure the optimal mobilisation of human and material resources to bring the fires under control as quickly as possible.
The Civil Protection services continue to maintain field operations in coordination with the relevant authorities to respond to the situation and support efforts to protect citizens and forest areas.
