Algeria, Oman Deepen Digital Transformation Partnership Following High-Level Talks
Algeria and Oman have agreed on a series of strategic recommendations to strengthen bilateral cooperation in digital transformation, laying the groundwork for joint projects, knowledge exchange and long-term partnerships in support of sustainable development.

ALGIERS, Algeria — Algeria and Oman have agreed to deepen bilateral cooperation in digital transformation following the conclusion of a four-day working visit by a high-level Omani delegation, according to a statement issued on Wednesday by Algeria’s High Commission for Digitalization.
The visit concluded with the adoption of a set of strategic recommendations aimed at expanding cooperation in digitalization through joint projects, institutional coordination and the exchange of expertise.
The closing session was chaired by High Commissioner for Digitalization Meriem Benmouloud and Ali bin Amer Al Shidhani, Undersecretary at Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology. The two sides reviewed the outcomes of the visit and explored avenues for future collaboration in the digital sector.
According to the High Commission, both parties agreed on a roadmap designed to translate bilateral cooperation into concrete initiatives while fostering strategic partnerships across several areas of digital transformation.
The recommendations focus on strengthening institutional coordination, facilitating the exchange of technical expertise and promoting collaborative projects that support the digital transition in both countries.
Officials from both sides described the visit as an important milestone in Algerian-Omani relations, emphasizing their shared commitment to building a strategic partnership founded on innovation, knowledge transfer and complementary expertise.
They also underlined that enhanced cooperation in digital transformation is expected to contribute to broader sustainable development objectives in both countries while supporting their respective digital modernization agendas.
The latest agreement reflects the growing momentum in Algeria’s international digital cooperation strategy as the country continues to expand partnerships aimed at accelerating public-sector digitalization, technological innovation and the development of a modern digital economy.
