President Tebboune Dismisses Constantine Governor, Appoints Kamel Eddine Kerbouche as Successor
President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has relieved Constantine Governor Abdelkhalek Sayouda of his duties and appointed Béjaïa Governor Kamel Eddine Kerbouche to lead the eastern province, while assigning Béjaïa’s Secretary-General to oversee the wilaya on an interim basis.

ALGIERS, Algeria — President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has signed a presidential decree ending the tenure of Abdelkhalek Sayouda as Governor (Wali) of Constantine Province and appointing Kamel Eddine Kerbouche, formerly Governor of Béjaïa, as his successor, the Presidency of the Republic announced on Wednesday.
According to an official statement, the presidential decree also assigns Saïd Yahiaoui, Secretary-General of the Béjaïa provincial administration, to oversee the affairs of Béjaïa on an interim basis until a new governor is appointed.
The changes take immediate effect and form part of the President’s constitutional prerogatives concerning appointments within Algeria’s territorial administration.
