Algeria, Russia Move to Deepen Industrial Cooperation and Joint Investment

Algeria and Russia are advancing efforts to deepen industrial cooperation, with Industry Minister Yahia Bachir holding talks in Algiers with Sergey Cheryomin, a senior Moscow official responsible for external economic relations.
The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties through the launch of joint industrial projects, particularly in higher value-added segments, reflecting a shared intent to expand economic engagement beyond traditional sectors.
Held in the presence of Russia’s ambassador to Algeria, Alexey Solomatine, the meeting forms part of a broader push to consolidate Algeria–Russia cooperation and explore new partnership opportunities across industry and investment.
Both sides examined pathways to accelerate collaboration through technology exchange, increased investment flows and the development of jointly managed projects, signalling a shift toward more structured and results-oriented industrial partnerships.
