Algeria’s Attaf Meets Ségolène Royal to Advance Franco-Algerian Dialogue

Algeria’s foreign minister Ahmed Attaf met Ségolène Royal, president of the France-Algeria Association, in Algiers on Wednesday, as both sides underscored efforts to deepen dialogue and cooperation between Algeria and France.
Royal is visiting Algeria to take part in the “Mediterranean African Meetings of Thought”, a forum aimed at fostering intellectual and cultural exchange across the region.
Attaf congratulated Royal on her recent appointment to head the association, describing it as a platform capable of strengthening mutual understanding and expanding channels of engagement between the two countries.
Discussions focused on initiatives led by the association to promote dialogue, cooperation and people-to-people ties, reflecting a shared interest in reinforcing the broader framework of Franco-Algerian relations.
