Algerian lubricant producer Petro Baraka launches ‘Zit Bladi’ digital platform in local tech push

ALGIERS — Petro Baraka has launched “Zit Bladi”, a locally developed digital platform designed to streamline lubricant selection and maintenance services, in a move reflecting Algeria’s broader industrial digitalisation drive and push for domestically engineered smart solutions.
Accessible through the company’s official website, the platform integrates an intelligent recommendation system covering eight market segments ranging from passenger vehicles to heavy industrial machinery.
The system relies on a database of more than 10,000 applications, enabling users to rapidly identify suitable lubricants based on vehicle type and technical specifications.
Once a vehicle category is selected, the platform generates detailed information on the recommended oil grade, required capacity and maintenance intervals, providing what the company describes as a faster and more precise digital service model developed by Algerian expertise.
The launch underscores growing efforts by Algerian industrial operators to integrate digital technologies into manufacturing and after-sales services while reinforcing local technological capabilities.
