ALGIERS — Algeria’s Labour, Employment and Social Security Minister on Monday called for strict implementation of the national roadmap to improve public service delivery, with a focus on digitisation and administrative simplification.

Minister Abdelhak Saihi chaired a coordination meeting with senior officials from the central administration to review activity performance between April 12 and May 9 and assess the implementation of ongoing programmes under the sector’s reform plan.

The meeting examined progress in public service improvement, digitalisation of administrative services, and mechanisms for handling citizens’ requests across institutions under the ministry’s supervision.

Saihi reviewed sectoral presentations on ongoing reforms aimed at simplifying administrative procedures and improving responsiveness of public services.

He issued instructions for strict application of the roadmap on continuous improvement of public service delivery, calling for expanded use of remote digital services to reduce administrative procedures and eliminate bureaucratic constraints.

He also called for completion of digitisation projects with direct impact on service quality and processing speed, stressing improved flexibility and faster handling of administrative files.
