Rezig chairs coordination meeting with banks on trade financing and import programme domiciliation

ALGIERS — Algeria’s Foreign Trade and Export Promotion Minister on Monday chaired a coordination meeting with banking sector representatives on procedures governing trade financing and import operations.
Minister Kamel Rezig led discussions with members of the Association of Banks and Financial Institutions and commercial banks authorised to conduct foreign trade transactions.
According to a statement from the ministry, the meeting focused on the modalities for domiciling the forecast import programmes of companies engaged in resale activities, as well as the establishment of procedures for financing and managing related operations in coordination with banks.
The session also addressed technical arrangements for improving coordination between economic operators and financial institutions involved in external trade operations.
