Industrial Land Strategy: Algeria’s Investment Agency Launches Targeted Investor Consultation Across Five Regions

The Algerian Investment Promotion Agency is moving into a new phase of industrial land deployment, seeking to align the distribution of serviced plots more closely with investor demand across five strategic regions.
In a notice addressed to economic operators, the Agency signalled a departure from a purely administrative allocation model in favour of a more responsive framework. Central to this shift is a targeted consultation process designed to map investor requirements ahead of the formal launch of offers on the Digital Investor Platform.
The initiative covers serviced industrial plots across key zones, including Didouche Mourad in Constantine, Ras El Ma in Sidi Bel Abbès, El Aricha in Tlemcen, Boughezoul spanning Djelfa and Médéa, and Zaaroura in Tiaret. These sites form part of emerging and established industrial corridors intended to host large-scale projects linked to regional diversification strategies.
Rather than pre-assigning industrial functions to each site, the Agency is seeking to calibrate land use according to expressed investor interest. Economic operators are invited to signal intended activities through digital consultation forms, allowing authorities to adjust land configuration in line with sectoral demand and local development priorities.
Officials stress that the exercise remains consultative and does not constitute an allocation procedure. It is intended instead to inform the final structuring of land parcels before formal concession applications are submitted via the Digital Investor Platform once listings are published.
