These included representatives of Madar Holding’s executive leadership, the Chief Executive Officer of Global Agri Food, senior officials from the National Insurance Company, alongside political and sporting figures such as a senator representing Oran Province, the local Director of Youth and Sports, and the President of the Algerian Cycling Federation.
Despite its recent establishment, the team has rapidly consolidated a competitive profile within African cycling circuits. According to the holding group, it has secured notable results, including stage victories in the Tour of Algeria and a sustained two-year leadership position in the African team rankings. While such achievements remain within a relatively emerging competitive ecosystem, they nevertheless signal an accelerated institutional investment in performance sport as a vector of continental visibility.
The event also served as the official unveiling of the team roster, composed of selected national and international riders, alongside the presentation of its sporting roadmap ahead of the 2026 competitive season. The strategic orientation emphasises continuity, consolidation of results, and gradual elevation toward higher-tier international competitions, reflecting an ambition to embed long-term performance discipline within a corporate governance structure.
A central institutional feature of the ceremony was the signing of a sponsorship agreement between the National Insurance Company and Madar Pro Cycling Team. The arrangement underscores the growing normalization of corporate sponsorship as a structural pillar of elite sport financing in Algeria, particularly within state-affiliated economic groups seeking to diversify their visibility portfolios beyond traditional industrial and agrifood sectors.
