Ooredoo Algeria Expands Subscriber Base to 15.9 Million as First-Half Revenue Climbs 14.5%
The telecom operator reported strong first-half 2026 financial and operational performance, driven by a 9.7% increase in subscribers, a sharp rise in network investment, and double-digit growth in revenue and EBITDA, underscoring the company’s continued expansion in Algeria’s competitive telecommunications market.

ALGIERS – Ooredoo Algeria continued its growth trajectory during the first half of 2026, expanding its customer base to 15.9 million subscribers as of 30 June, up from 14.5 million a year earlier, representing an annual increase of 9.7%, according to the company’s latest financial results released on Thursday.
The operator also significantly accelerated capital expenditure, investing DZD 14.9 billion during the first six months of 2026, compared with DZD 8.6 billion over the corresponding period in 2025, marking a 74.1% year-on-year increase aimed at strengthening network infrastructure and supporting commercial expansion.
Financial performance also remained robust, with first-half revenue rising to DZD 64.2 billion, compared with DZD 56 billion during the same period last year, reflecting 14.5% growth.
Meanwhile, EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) reached DZD 28 billion, up from DZD 24.9 billion in the first half of 2025, representing an increase of 12.1%.
Commenting on the results, Ooredoo Algeria Chief Executive Officer Roni Tohme said the company’s first-half performance reflects the effectiveness of its long-term strategic vision and the commitment of its workforce.
“The results achieved during the first half of 2026 demonstrate the relevance of our strategic vision and the remarkable dedication of our teams,” Tohme said.
