Oran police dismantle burglary network, recover 500 million centimes

Police in Oran have dismantled a criminal network accused of breaking into a residential property and stealing a large sum of money before fleeing, according to a statement from the local police department.
The intervention, led by the regional crime investigation and intervention unit, followed a tip-off reporting a home burglary involving the theft of a significant cash amount. Acting on the information, officers were able to identify the suspects, locate them, and arrest them sequentially.
The operation led to the arrest of three individuals and the recovery of 500 million centimes in local currency, along with the seizure of a vehicle used to facilitate the crime, the statement said.
Following completion of legal procedures, the suspects were presented before the public prosecutor at the Fellaoucen tribunal in Oran.
